On the seventh day of Christmas….
While creating this list I reached out to a few of my friends to get some inspiration for what they consider to be Clean Christmas Gifts. My friend Carrie suggested local artists and I couldn’t help but think how brilliant this was for hitting so many categories, and who doesn’t love some type of artwork for Christmas?
Whether it’s a simple postcard, a handmade ceramic mug or a unique print, local artists have incredible talent that is ideal for any Christmas List!
I love these prints from @anjajane because they are local to Vancouver and make perfect gifts for my friends far away! There is also something so incredible about getting to interact with the artist you are buying from! When I bought my first print from Anja two years ago I couldn’t find the specific print in any stores and so I met her at home to get a print directly from the source! This instantly gave me a connection to her artwork and made me so proud that it was a local Vancouver piece!
Keegan my good friend from home, makes the most incredible leather goods! Two years ago I bought Jamie a gorgeous wallet that he continues to use and love! Check out his work here
Julia is about the sweetest person you will ever meet and she creates gorgeous prints of the local flora + fauna of Coastal BC, but also the beauty from the back alleys of East Van, which I love the most! Check out her work here!
If you look at around at Craft Sales or even just through your instagram feed, you will find friends and businesses that are creating incredible pieces that may just make the perfect Christmas gift!
